is a song by this band, Gangi. Oddly enough, it’s also the subject of this post. So I have lived my entire life without owning a pet, save for some goldfish I had when I was a kid. They quickly died and scarred me emotionally forever. But for all intents and purposes, I never had pets growing up. I was never a big fan of animals. I didn’t think the zoo was particularly entertaining. If anything, I found the zoo a little creepy and an okay place for a field trip. My childhood best friend had a lot of pets including 2 dogs. She didn’t understand why I didn’t think they were the cutest things ever. I couldn’t explain it. I just didn’t like dogs. Or cats. Or anything. A year in college, I lived with Jacqui and she had a cat. It was that year that I found out I was allergic to cats. I ended up living with the same Jacqui and same cat from last September until April. The last month of that living arrangement included this huge husky puppy as well. That puppy peed on my laptop and caused many problems for me, Jacqui, her boyfriend and ultimately, her boyfriend’s family. If you read the “about” section on this thing, it will tell you that the only animals I like are LOLcats and dinosaurs. Until now, I would say that’s a fair and correct thing to say. After briefly hanging out with a cat yesterday and spending a decent amount of time trying to play with a small dog last night, I think my feelings about animals might be changing.

But those large dogs that people seem to have in NYC seriously freak me out. They’re almost my size!
