It’s 5AM again and I’m awake. I wasn’t even drinking tonight (last night?). So why am I unable to sleep? Bill Callahan’s voice isn’t even helping me. I’m not sure is writing this is really necessary but it’s the middle of the night. Who cares!
Okay, so it’s kind of weird that I’m blogging right now. But, this is the first time in forever that I am ready for work with time to eat breakfast so it’s a special occasion. I had a lot of trouble sleeping last night so I did what I usually do when I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t fall back asleep. I listen to all of my Smog records, starting with “A River Ain’t Too Much To Love.” Without fail, I’m usually asleep by “The Well.” The thing is, I always seem to wake up again during “Butterflies Drowned In Wine” from “Supper.” Always. I wake up and it’s like oh hey, that song I always wake up to during a part that seems to disorient and annoy me while I’m in such a fragile state. Rats!
